Just moving at forum I found this hope it will help you
Backlinks altogether make a BACKBONE for SEO. The stronger, the backbone is the better is your chance to get listed on first page of Google. I have been managing SEO projects in one of the E-Commerce companies for the past 2 years and I have realized that the nature of Google has got a little changed in terms of SERPS.
When I started SEO, a few of strategies including directory submission, article marketing, social bookmarking were quite enough to boost SERPs. But now due to loads of “Link Spamming” and increased rate of competition, Google has changed its attitude. Below are the most significant points you should consider before building backlinks:
ESSENTIALS
1) Make sure that the link you receive from “Web Content” is not heavily duplicated. Web content here may refer to the comment text, articles, profile information etc. 30% unique content works!
2) Make sure that majority of the backlinks you make doesn’t get removed after Google has indexed it or counted as backlink.
3) Make sure that the amount of backlink you make every day goes on with constant consistency. For a new website, you should consider increasing the amount of backlinks gradually. For e.g. never do a mistake of making 1000s of backlink first day and then taking a rest of 1 week. Start with 20, then after two days 30 …. then after couple of months you can touch your limit upto 500-1000 per day. Constant consistency and a gradual increase in number of backlinks is something that has given me a lot of success.
4) Consider making no more than 100 backlinks per page from SAMPLE IP even if it is DO FOLLOW.
5) High Page Ranked pages for backlinks have always been the choice of SEOs which is obvious. But bear in mind that backlink opportunity from a PR0 page also counts as long as:
i) Content is not much duplicated
ii) Backlink is coming from a NEW DIVERSED IP
6) Anchor text on your keyword is an obvious issue which I should not have included here. Backlink without anhor text may contribute in your Page Rank but it does no good to your SERPs.
7) Blog posts that are spammed by 1000s of meaningless blog comments having series of outbound links devalue the PR of a page. It has not done much good to my SEO.
MYTHS
NOFOLLOW MYTH
You people must be damn curious why the hell I didn’t make emphasis on the “DO FOLLOW” feature of backlinks. Many people might object with me here and they have the right to do so, but I will disagree with the myth that “NoFollow Backlinks” have no use. It is understandable that is not that good as “DO FOLLOW”, but here is the difference that I have noticed lately:
75% of your Backlinks that Yahoo Site Explorer should be DO FOLLOW
25% should still be “NoFollow”. (This has played an important in making Google realize that I have done backlinking in a natural way).
NoFollow linkbuilding on “Diversed IP” and High PR posts have improve my SERPs.
NOFOLLOW LINKS PLAY NO ROLE IN SHARING THE PAGE RANK VALUE OF THE BACKLINK’S PAGE BUT IT CAN IMPROVE YOUR POSITION ON WEB LISTING IF THE LINK BUILDING IS DONE CONSIDERING THE ABOVE ESSENTIAL FACTORS!
My Personal Case Study
i) Wikipedia has “NoFollow” feature but it plays an important role in SERPS.
ii) Articlesbase.com has nofollow links but backlink from their directory is counted as BACKLINK by Google webmaster tool.
iii) Links from HIGH PR blogger posts helped me improve SERPs.
CONTENT RELATED BACKLINK – MYTH
Another myth propagaged mostly by the promotors of software like Market Samurai (in their how-to youtube videos) is that the backlink should be relevant to your niche or subject. The concept is geninue if you consider the life of the backlink is concerned. Unrelated links on blogs or forums are more likely to be deleted. But as long as the Backlinks fulfill the above ESSENTIAL FACTORS, even if it is unrelated it has same signficance as a related backlink has in the sight of search engine. (That’s what I have tested).
GENUINE WAYS OF BUILDING BACKLINKS THAT STILL WORK IN 2010
At least 30% unique content published in Blog networks having IP Diversity. The blog networks can be free and paid. Google “Free Blog Host” or “Free Blog Networks” to get the list. The effective way is to approach high pr blogs through 3rd party network or directly. Give them the unique content along with some money and publish your post in their blog.
“Google News” inclusion of your Press Release in different PR sites. These sites which guarantees Google News inclusion are further syndicated in thousands of other social networking & bookmarking site and news blogs.
Article Marketing is also great.
Do-Follow commenting
Using Link Bait content that gets viral ensure natural increase in backlinks. Articles like: Top 10 ……………… of 2010, Top 500 FREE Do-Follow Blog Networks etc.
Forum posting is an efficient and one of the most effective way of building backlinks.
Angela and Paul’s style (Profile) links have played a good role but they are not as effective as they were before. It is because the backlink is considered highly duplicated by Google because of:
little or no content in it…
same footprint of username showing on title that is easily caught by Google..
Try to change your username and add little content in your profile info section and convert the profile link into a RSS Feed. Submit those RSS feed to www.feedage.com only. In this way you will make all the backlinks work.
8. RSS submission is not that effective for creating backlinks but it is best for indexing your backlinks.
9. Directory submission seems a tedious task so outsource it. It is good for a new website and works for a long-term project. (I have quit using this method since an year).
Link building in general is an important part of making sure your site ranks well in the search engines. Google and many of the other search engines include link popularity as part of the way they evaluate the web pages they include in the search engine databases.
Hi,
Thanks for the research.
I googled for information on Googles attitude toward DoFollow and NoFollow back links. I don’t understand the linking activity well enough to put your advice into play. I need to know what these terms mean and look like.
Thank you for offering this insight though.

Suppose you doing link building by blog commenting what you will do? You will find at first dofollow blog then comment there. When Google found you are doing this then they will not count it and mark it as spamming. Those dofollow blog who are accepting blog comment then have ton of comment. This can be a bad effect. If you love to link building by blog comment then comment in nofollow too it seems natural link. This called play with google
